Tooth wear is not always just “part of aging.” It can be caused or worsened by grinding, clenching, misalignment, missing teeth, or bite patterns that place too much force on certain teeth.
When teeth do not meet properly, the jaw may develop compensating habits. Over time, those forces can contribute to worn edges, small fractures, sensitivity, or changes in how the bite feels.
